I would suggest your familiarize yourself with other unit's powers, not just your own. But among what Baritones can do, manipulation of dreams is the skill I find most personally useful.
Aside from turning water to alcohol and back, and the manipulation of dreams? We can change and reverse the trajectory of things in motion. We can remove or add memories and knowledge. We can take control of another's body to mirror our movements. And we can with a touch check what someone's relationships are within this place.
It is all public knowledge, if you wish to read up on other units powers you'll find it on your phone.
Although I would prefer it if you do not do it without my knowledge from here on, yes. I do trust you, but I feel that 'tis the kind of thing that requires a degree of mental preparation.
But you would never know if one of us checked your relationships. Only we gain the result, you would feel and notice nothing.
As you are friendly with the unit it would likely only ever be plied on you in... Let us say with good intentions. Baritones can be capricious but they do try to look after their own, even if we are at times underhanded in it.
Ah, but that is sweet, is it not? A heartwarming thought, in my eyes, knowing that I am cared for even if I don't see it directly.
But I would say I could notice that you've checked my relation to others, if you are not careful enough and say or do something that betrays knowledge I did not bestow upon you.
Then let us say you would not know immediately unless someone wished to inform you they had. Then again, I do wonder if you underestimate the discretion of those on baritones, when we truly wish to be discrete.
Or perhaps you underestimate how those here love to gossip. Information hardly need be obtained by a unit's skill. One needs only have vocal friends.
Then there is no need to fear you using that particular skill on me, is there? Since whatever secrets I might hold in regards to others would become known no matter what.
Yes and no. It depends on your own wishes after all. Some at least find their relationships things they would not advertise. Whether for fear of enemies exploiting them or simple shyness and want for privacy.
Indeed! There is little to be concerned about when I've only just arrived. I've no enemies or secrets, and overall I would wish to be open no matter what.
[He will activate It Don't Mean a Thing. Levity will feel absolutely nothing, there will be no tingle or even hint that anything has happened at all.
On the other hand Cosmo will get to learn all of Levity's CR--maybe not in intricate detail but every single person he has a positive or negative view on and how strong those feelings are.]
[Much like Levity said, there is not much for him to hide yet. His view of everyone he's met so far is positive, with curiousity about them being the predominant feeling towards everyone. But some people do stand out, those he's had time to know longer.
For Cardinal Levity holds a measure of almost reverent fascination, respect and interest in equal measure with just a hint of romantic interest. Alexander he is the most curious about, flustered about the man's attention to himself and feeling a little off balance with the seeming gap in knowledge between them--and he is aware that it's Alexander who knows him from the past life, the one he's closest with. That knowledge itself is the source of his light nervousness towards the man, although Cosmo would not be able to tell where he got that knowledge.
Cosmo himself is similar, but hold the trepidation - and Levity indeed sees him as a mentor figure, someone to trust and turn to if he needs help. Absinthe, however, stands out in the list: Levity is certainly fascinated by him, hooked on the combination of charm and secretive attitude. There's beginnings of desire there.
For Hope Levity holds genuine respect and interest in becoming closer with her, but unlike the rest it's nothing but firmly platonic; he is very drawn to her sharp mind that nudges his own into putting his natural curiousity to use. Five, quite likely unsurprisingly, is someone Levity really enjoys being around already, somewhat like a little sibling to tease but love all the same. He also finds Five's attempts at covering up his caring for people utterly adorable, but there is a hint of sadness there too, at the fact that he refuses to admit to his own kindness. Levity wishes things were better for Five.
Vergil is similar in a sense, someone who Levity feels is very kind and gentle at his core if roughened by outside events. He wants to spend time with Vergil too, in a quiet sort of way, and be gentle to him to make up for the fact that Vergil had to be used to violence, to call himself a creature rather than a person.
Today's meetings are still too fresh for him to have formed a lasting image, but they are all positive, much like he'd described them to Cosmo. There's a new uncertainty about Thancred, rooted more firmly because of the man's own somewhat distant attitude, but still the desire to be if not friends, then at least good acquiaintances.]

Hm. Baritones at least can assist there.
Lily especially is popular in that regard.

What else can you do? I think your ability to turn water into alcohol is the only other one I am familiar with.

Can you check my relationships, then? Or take control of me? Doesn't that mean you did not need to ask me who I'm getting along with?

Did it work?

It did. And it seems you have been quite busy.

Have I? What did you see?
