A dream

[Dva, Raven, and Vergil will all find, whatever they are doing in their dreams tonight, that a strange portal appears invitingly before them. That looks safe! Well, at least Vergil is familiar with it.

They will find that taking it leads to a garden.]

[Oh. He softens a little, leaning. His grammar is still messy, but might as well use as much as he can, not just for practice but because he likes the thought that the other two can't understand.]

It's...good of you to do something for them. But I thought we were done.

[He shakes his head.]

They need a bit more. A bit like you, they need an outlet. Be kind, they do care for you.

Then they can have it without me.

His familiars are already growling at me.

Is that so strange? You are both... Competitive.

No it's exactly what I expected, but it's nothing to do with competition. It's what they are.

What are they?

They're my memories, essentially. Phantom versions of demons I knew, when I was taken over. I cut them out of me just as I did Raven, so I'm sure they're just as angry with me.

....Fascinating. I had no idea. You really must sit me down and explain your abilities and magic.

You know I would gladly. I'll give you demonstrations next time.

[...He leans back down to take another once he's standing because Lahabrea's delight is charming.]

[Two kisses! Wow he's winning the lottery. He grins like the smuggest cat.]

I've no use for those things, myself.

I suppose I'll have to have enough for both of us.

[He should be smug, because it's drawn Vergil out of his bad mood a bit, and like, there's people here, he loves this man enough to brave that.]
