A dream

[Dva, Raven, and Vergil will all find, whatever they are doing in their dreams tonight, that a strange portal appears invitingly before them. That looks safe! Well, at least Vergil is familiar with it.

They will find that taking it leads to a garden.]

[This door leads to a dark circular platform over a long drop. Upon it is something shaped like a friend???

The monster is huge, and not very mobile, but it has a ton of hitpoints and it's a proper boss. The tentacles can hit anywhere on the platform and they stun if they connect. The good thing is he's slow with swiping them, the bad thing is they hit a huge area.

Other things to note:

There is a constant HP bleed effect while you fight him, it's a race against time and there's a lot of him to fight.

Sometimes the floor of the arena is covered in a gross miasma that leaks upwards and drains vitality. Stand on raised parts of the platform or fly to avoid this grossness.

Even grosser, the bellymouth will turn and vomit a damaging acid at someone, rendering a fourth of the arena unsafe for a time. Don't get hit!

He flails his tentacles. A lot.

Sometimes he'll summon slimes and try to eat them. Each he manages to inhale gives him a damage boost. Don't be in his way when he does inhale, he'll eat you too. You'll get vomited back out but... Gross. Also the acid hurts.

Technically this thing is a demon so while it's not as tricksy as some things and with fewer direct attacks(just vomit and tentacles), damaging it is also more work.]

[sighs and holds his arm aloft, summoning griphon, who perches on raven as he shakes out his feathers.

"Alright, whadda ya want me to vaporize--holy moly, that thing STINKS!"]

Don't fly too close to its maw. I imagine you look... quite appetizing to it.

[griphon's feathers ruffle moodily. "Yeah, yeah, I'm a regular chicken dinner to this pile of garbage. Got any new ones for me?"]

'sup Raven. [ she approaches him in her mech. ] I get to meet another of your infamous demonic familiars~ and you, lucky you, finally get to see my pride & joy; Tokki.

["Looks like a big hunk of metal scrap ta me. Sup, princess? Gonna show off for us old-fashioned types? Gyahahaha!"

... griphon is rude now, it seems]

If chicken little, here, isn’t going to do anything but squawk shit, then I guess I’m going to have to. [ sticks her tongue out from inside and activates the thrusters, the mech jumping into the air and hovering there as it’s shoulder plates lift up to reveal a bunch of missiles. ]

Are we going to get this party started or what? Looking at this ugly son of a bitch is making me nauseous.

[griphon makes a grumpy bird noise and wiggles. "Yeah, yeah, alright, no time like the present. Who's ready for some barbecue?!"

and he flies off towards the monster beast, lightning bolts striking the ground in his wake]

If this is your idea of BBQ, birder, then fucken ew. [ she laughs and fires a bunch of the rockets at the blob, her defense matrix appearing in front of the mech to prevent its barf from getting to her. ] Ick, dude, WTF. [ she dodges to the side and starts firing off her fusion cannons. ]

[griphon only barely flies out of the way of the monster's vomit attack, letting out an indignant squawk. he focuses and fires a concentrated strike of lightning at the creature's eye.

"Hope you get indigestion, ya big heap of rotten fish!"]

[ gears. turning. in. head. ] ...ah! IDEA, I HAVE AN IDEA. [ aaaand then she's getting smacked aside by a tentacle; crashing into one of the platforms and taking a bit of damage. ] Shit. [ she manages to get the hell out of dodge before another successful attack, firing off another flurry of rockets. ] Get it to open it's mouth again!

["Open wide, big guy!"

griphon zaps it right in its mouth, hovering nearby to tempt it to grab at him and flying out of the way at the last second]

[ as soon as griphon moves aside she follows up with a couple blasts from her fusion cannons as she flies closer. ] Better do as he says! [ but the monster doesn't seem like he's willing to cooperate, so she sends another volley of missiles to coax his mouth back open as flies the mech straight into it; ejecting out at the last second. ]

[ totally sucks that she's dangerously close to him, but she doesn't really seem the least bit concerned. ] I hope you're ready to have some killer indigestion, you dumb bastard, because that baby's set to blow.

[ following the slaughter of all of the chimera she changes back to her old self and that’s when she summons her mech, tokki. ]

[ this thing reminds her of the octo-imp boss she fought toward the end of the invasion, so... not so much something to help relive stress as much as spike it, but oops. ] Hey, Cosmo, can we get some music to go along with this! Need to make it uber epic!!

[ she climbs into her mech, feeling somewhat better, safer, and more confident, so she activated the thrusters and gets into the air. ]

[ who doesn’t love kicking ass to kickass music 😘 ]

[And when all is said and done with the demon, only a one glowing door remains.]
